a busy day

helicopter, helicopter

my momma says i remind her of a helicopter but i am not sure why. maybe because i squirm and am always on the spin and go, go, go!
i practiced the piano and sang over the rainbow with my mom. then we got to business in the car and sang a good song called hollaback girl ( my new favorite song. ) i tried to have coffee but not starbucks. speaking of starbucks, myyyyyy dede is coming to visit. this makes me so happy. we are going to shop for shoes. i am going to get frye boots.
we are trying to decide between a gymnasium and swim class for the fall season. i say both!

new blue dress

do you like my new blue dress? when i was out and about in my new blue dress a strange lady yelled, " he looks very well behaved." mommy wasnt that happy with the comment. i say whooo cares. i have been busy since returning from the beach. here are some updates: mom, aunt dawn and i went to babies r us and played with the toys! i sure like to bang on things with bright lights . think i need a drum set. mom suggested i dont eat any toys when she said, " you eat it, we buy it. " i got a baby grand baby piano. it is noisy yet melodic.
we went to the park and played on the swings. i wanted to play with the big kids but that cant happen until i can stand up.
mommy and i tried a baby gymnasium class. it was pretty cool. there was a big parachute and a clown puppet! most of the babies were crawling so i chased them in my head! this weekend i am going to see my cousins meghan and gregory and my aunt rosie and uncle john. hooray! love lily j

beach blanket bingo

hanging out at the beach was crazy fun. my aunt mary is lovely. she is my dede's sister too.
she introduced me to her cool friends. my aunt dot dot and mommy ran me ragged. wake up early, eat some oatmeal, pop into stroller, run to beach, put me (unsuccessfully) in ocean, feets in sand, back to stroller, long walk, little nap, eat some string beans, practice crawling, drink bottle, play in pool, bath, repeat!
boy i am TIRED though i loved spending time with my family and friends. there was a funny drunk man staying across from us who yelled profanity at the baseball game on tv every night. thought my momma was going to beat him up. instead my aunt dot dot politely asked him to shut it up. phew.
mommy and mike (sometimes i call him that) went to the boardwalk but they didnt get me any cotton candy. they won me a hackeysack ball while playing skeeball. the beach is beautiful and i would like to investigate the sand a little more but i dont know about the great wide ocean. its big, loud, and cold. maybe i will try it out again when i am one!

straws are fascinating

friday we went to don pablos with aunt dawn but i did not get a margarita. our waitress jen was really nice. she loved me and said i am cuteee. i saw a lot of kids there. my mom says that restaurant is family friendly. that is why we go even though we don't fancy the chain dining. after dinner mom went to target to get stuff for the beach and daddy and i went home to have our own fun. today i am picking up a present for my daddy and my dede. hope they like them. i am going to the beach tomorrow! see you when i get back! hooray!!!! love lily

friday i'm in love

yesterday was a good day. i had two count them two naps all by myself. it is pretty nice stretching my arms and legs. mom and i played in my pool and had a splashing party. i got to wear my newer starbucks costume ( see pic) after my old one burst at the seam like i was the incredible hulk. my grandmom says my mom tries to squeeze me in my clothes but i need ROOM! i am getting very close to being mobile. this prospect is very interesting. the hardwood floors feel good on my palms. we had lunch at aunt dot dots. it was great as always. her house doesnt have any cat hair. my auntie gave me a ton of hugs and smiles. we picked a sunflower ( i think) and gave it to my mom . i tried to eat some applesauce but it had a cinnamon taste. 3 more days to the beach. i get to see my aunt mary and the ocean! hooray!!! love lily

my mom was thinking about how time is flying and how quickly i am growing up. here are some pics of me on my first day on this earth. one minute old, one hour, and one whole day old! i was TIRED but amazed and happy to be here. love lily

swings and things

yesterday i played on the big girl swing and went pretty high. daddy and i went on the gigantic slide too. today i saw a big thunderstorm and got some shots at the pediatrician since i am almost six months old. i am thrilled to tell you that i am 26 &3/4 inches tall AND 18lbs 4oz. wide. my head is also a good size.
hurray chubbola! now i must rest. i have a hello kitty band aid on my leg but i was very brave.
i did not have a party last night between 3 and 5am. my parents are VERY pleased and rested.

at the hop

friday we had a business trip to nyc. it was very hot and full of traffic and horns. saturday was full of fun. aunt melanie gave me a big car to bounce in and a new leap frog toy. i love leap and lily frog! melanie is thoughtful! i went in my pool with my daddy and momma snapped pictures. in the early evening we went to my favorite diner on the east coast called the silver diner. i sat in a high chair and watched my parents eat some weird food. daddy laughed when i lifted a plate in the air. i am stronng! momma let me taste a real banana. guess what i love? 50's music called run around sue and the twist. we danced a little in our booth. we dont have chubby checker at my house but i bet we will soon! love lily

eating feet

i had a nice day today. i had lunch and a nap at my aunt's house. i played with her sunflowers and didn't try to eat them. i smelled fresh basil from the garden and didn't try to eat that either.
it was too hot to swim in a pool.
soon i am going to the beach!
we have to get a protective sun suit and a tent.

monday monday!

i went to my poppop's today and played on his new rug that was handmade in tibet. he said he didnt care if i tried to eat the rug so i did.
i played in my pool which was so much fun but momma couldn't take a picture because she said it would be hazardous if she let me sit alone while she snapped the photo. i can sit by myself but not in water.
carrots are orange and i love them. daddy's pizza looked much more interesting to me! something for me to gnaw on!! grrrr.
