six foot two?

happy weekend! i have GREAT news. my aunt DOT DOT is coming to see me in a few weeks! i am so excited. if i could count i would count the days until her arrival.
today my mom and dad are going out for some alone time and i am going to play with my dede and her dog butch. i can't wait. i am going to run around the house as fast as i can.

momma and i went to the recreation center in montlake. even though i dont know where montlake is, i do know i had a ball! ( see photo) my mom was thrilled because there was a latte stand in the lobby and i was thrilled because i swam in a sea of balls for an hour. we did not go into the REAL pool but we took a look at it and it sure looks like fun. there is a waterfall fountain right in the middle of the action. can you imagine? we are going swimming when we go again though momma says she better buy a delta burke bathing suit.
there was a boy there named drew who had on a captain pirate outfit. he was silly. i did not want to leave but i did want his hat. i wonder if now that i am one i can take tap dancing lessons! wheeeee! love lily

happy birthday to me!

FUN!!!!!!!!! on saturday i had a big party ! all my west coast friends and my dede came. it was great to see everyone, especially my best friends eli and winter. i got some fabulous presents including a beautiful caterpillar toy, a new dress, and some hipster boots! who knew turning one could be so much fun! i would like to have a party for myself every day of the week! we had 20 balloons and 10 balls and 2 pizzas and a duck cake. what more could a one year old need? two here i come! love lily

february 17 2006

friday was my first birthday! hooray! i feel big and tall! my daddy took a half day off from work and my family went to play at the children's musuem in downtown seattle. we had great fun. we met a whale and saw villages of the world.
after that we took a nap and then we went out to dinner! i had some pasta and bread! we went to toys r us and i pretended to not know that mom and dad were getting some presents for ME!it was a great day. love lily

fly me to the moon

today is valentine's day and i am filled with love. i think i might like frank sinatra. he has a warm inviting singing voice and it makes me hum and la.
this time last year my mom was so pregnant she had to rest on a bench at the mall while she shopped! she was afraid i might pop out and go shopping with her but i didn't. today,we picked a few things up for daddy for love day including some chocolate and fancy beer that he likes. i got a balloon. i think i might love balloons more than i love balls.
hope you are having a good not too commercial holiday. i think i would like to have chinese food for dinner!

see lily run

now that i am upwardly mobile, i got some NEW shoes. they are cute and have good support. they are called see kai run but my name is lily. now i can ruuuuun as fast as flo jo. we had a good weekend. it was sunny and busy. i had breakfast with my dad,winter and mark at the sunlight cafe and an italian dinner with dede. next week i am having a party but i miss my friends and family on the east coast.

seems like old times

hi everyone! its been TOO long but i have been busy buying and moving into a new house. the house is big and vanilla with beautiful christmas trees near the backyard. there is a park next door. i can see the sky from my room! when the grass dries we are going to have a picnic with my friends and we are going to eat cheese. we do not have any furniture so i can really get going around the house. wheee!

growing and glowing has been fun these past few months. i am tall and can talk a little. my favorite words are these words:
duck, no, mama, dada, ball, belly, bath, no, eat, book, no, max, and dog.
i am especially fond of saying bbb words. bring them on baby.

my dede comes to visit often and she is full of fun. we play up down games and we talk about shoes. i am going to get a new kind called see kai run now that i am WALKING. its about time. my mommy says i have good balance and form.

yesterday i hugged a few stranger but nice ladies at my st edwards playgroup. my mom says we might have to discuss boundaries. not everyone wants a hug and hair kisses but i dont know why!
